What Materials are KEES Decorative Grilles Available In?
KEES offers the following material options for any of our decorative grille patterns:

What Finishes are KEES Decorative Grilles Available In?
Painted
Painted decorative grilles are finished on the KEES paint line with a protective two-part polyurethane enamel. Grille mounting hardware is painted on the same line to ensure the entire order is the same color. KEES offers twelve in-house colors, as well as color matching to client-submitted samples and/or a RAL number. The painted coat functions as a primer for clients who want to paint grilles on-site.

Also called Brushed, this process uses light abrasives to finish the material, creating a fine linear pattern. Satin provides a low-sheen appearance between matte and mirror polished, contrasting a touch of shine with the depth of texture. KEES offers satin finished decorative grilles with or without a clear lacquer that protects against oxidization and scratches.

This process polishes the material in an extremely fine process, resulting in a mirror-like, reflective appearance. The finished product easily catches the light for an attractive, sophisticated aesthetic. KEES offers mirror polished decorative grilles with or without a clear lacquer that protects against oxidation and scratches and makes cleaning easier.

Anodized Aluminum
Anodizing is an electrochemical process that deepens the outside oxide layer of aluminum, allowing that layer to be dyed different colors or retain its original silvery color. The thickened layer also offers protection against oxidization. Anodized aluminum is a great choice for designers on a budget, giving grilles the appearance of bronze while using a more cost-effective material.

Oxidized Brass or Bronze
Oxidization is a natural process where exposure to oxygen changes the color of metal over a long period of time. KEES’s oxidized finish superficially ages brass or bronze, giving it an antique, aged look. This finish is a perfect complement to KEES decorative grille patterns that evoke classical, gothic, and baroque aesthetics. KEES offers oxidized decorative grilles with or without a protective clear lacquer that locks in the finish, preventing further natural oxidation.
